Explaining the Parables: From the Gospel of Luke

In my efforts to write in-depth explanations of all the reading selections assigned by the Episcopal Lectionary over a three-year period, I was drawn to see a need to write more deeply about the parables Jesus told. This is quite a project, as it is one that requires plenty of time, filling multiple books.
I chose Luke to begin with; and focused on three parables: The Good Samaritan; The Prodigal Son; and The Rich Man and Lazarus. As the Good Samaritan is prefaced by Jesus' conversation with a young, rich ruler of the Jews (who I believe was Nicodemus), where Jesus answered his question about entering the kingdom of heaven by explaining Love your Neighbor, I wrote about that too. This became a 228-page book; which I decided would be affordable and hold one's attention.
I planned to write about the other parables in Luke, as well as Matthew (with those two joining with Mark as added depth to some parables); but I was called to begin a greater project relative to Nostradamus and The Prophecies. When that project is complete, I plan to complete the parables series. It is important to understand the deeper intent of these metaphorical lessons.
