John 5:19-23 - Explaining the relationship of Father to Son

Updated: Jul 26

In response to the known plots of the “Jews” or Pharisees that could not see the evil they worshiped as motivating their actions, verse 19 begins by importantly stating “Responded he then this Jesus,” where the capitalized Apekrinato is an important “Answer” given by “him” who is “this Jesus.”  Because the name is not bracketed, this can be seen as Jesus coming to confront the “Jews,” in “Response” to their thinking Jesus was “equating himself made to this God.”  Still, the same “Jesus” will be “he” who “Answers” all Saints in his name, when persecution is the plan of opposition.

Following the naming of “Jesus” is the word kai, which says this “Answering” is important in how “he was speaking to them.”  Because of a comma mark after this, the kai projects onto the form of “speaking” that was directed “to them” that were his persecutors.  This is important as the “Answers” that flowed forth to their ears were as “Jesus” had said, coming from the “Father.”

As the Father speaking to the unsaved as the Son Created so Yahweh Saves lost souls, that stated by “Jesus” was from Yahweh.  This is importantly stated twice, once capitalized and once in lower-case (Amēn, amēn), where this importantly states the “Truth” is spoken “to them,” as “Truly” and “certainly” without question.  After a comma mark, the first-person “I” must be realized as Yahweh speaking, as “I say to you.”  The words came from the mouth of “Jesus,” but the “I” was from Yahweh.

The ”Answer” then stated says, “not he is able this Son to execute separate of himself nothing.”  In this, the word Huios is capitalized, such that the “Son” is Yahweh the “Father” claiming the physical body speaking (and the soul within) is His “Son.”  The words ou and ouden present a double negative that says “not” and “nothing.”  This means ouden can be read as “ not anything,” which yields “nothing.”  However, the “not” is a statement about “he is able,” whereby all souls in bodies of flesh think they are “able” or “empowered,” when they are “not,” unless one is “this Son” of Yahweh.  Thus, “to execute separate” from Yahweh, where “of himself” is a statement of a “soul” (“self) “separate” from Yahweh, that “himself” is “nothing,” as far as Salvation is concerned.

Following a comma mark, Yahweh then added, “because never anything he may discern this Father bringing forth” or “causing.”  This says by recognizing one if “nothing” without Yahweh, one will then have the capacity to “discern, behold, see,” or “take heed” when Yahweh is “causing” one to transform from “nothing” to committed servant that obeys commands.

Following a semi-colon, which joins two sentences together as related by a central theme, Yahweh next said through Jesus, “who indeed whatsoever those things he brings forth.”  This is relative to coming to an understanding “who” is “bringing forth” powers and abilities that did not exist before.  This means oneself becomes “who” is “indeed” the conduit on the material plane that is “whatsoever” seen as being the one doing “those things Yahweh brings forth.”  The brain does not begin thinking oneself is the “cause” of powers and abilities.  It simply comprehends this higher power one’s soul has submitted to serve is present.

Following a comma mark, Yahweh then added, “these things,” which are the amazing “things brought forth” by the divine within, with another use of kai adding that “these things” are importantly “this Son like manner does.”  Here, the capitalization of Huios makes it become clear that Yahweh has Saved a soul in its body of flesh, cleaning it of its past sins and failures, whereby the soul of His “Son” has taken up residence within that host soul-body, becoming reborn from above in the name of “Jesus,” the “Son” of Yahweh.  This says all souls within bodies of flesh that submit to serving Yahweh forever, proving their commitment, with then become spiritually wed to Yahweh (Spiritual Baptism).  From that divine marriage will come the consummation of that union, where the soul of the “Son” is resurrected again into flesh, a Saint in the name of Jesus.  A Saint is then “this Son” and in “like manner does” miracles, like Jesus.

Verse 20 then continues following a period mark, without capitalization, saying “this indeed Father he loves this Son”.   The key word in this is “loves” (philei), where this is a statement of “philos,” which is clarified as this:

“From philos; to be a friend to (fond of (an individual or an object)), i.e. Have affection for (denoting personal attachment, as a matter of sentiment or feeling; while agapao is wider, embracing especially the judgment and the deliberate assent of the will as a matter of principle, duty and propriety: the two thus stand related very much as ethelo and boulomai, or as thumos and nous respectively; the former being chiefly of the heart and the latter of the head); specially, to kiss (as a mark of tenderness) -- kiss, love.” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)

Helps Word Studies adds this word is used to denote “heartfelt consideration and kinship,” such that “love” is the bond that brings a bridesmaid soul (male and female bodies of flesh) and producing an offspring that is a relationship of that “love.”  Thus, the use of “Father” is as the Husband who “loves” His wife and brings forth a “Son” out of “love.”  The “Son” is then an expression of the “love” of the “Father.”  This means Jesus, as the “Son,” is an expression of Yahweh’s “love.”  The truth of the word “love,” whenever philos is found in Greek Scripture, says “Jeus” is the “love” of Yahweh: Jesus is love.  One can thus not “love” Yahweh when one is not “Jesus” the “Son” reborn into soul-flesh.

Following a comma mark is another use of kai, which then announces it is important to understand “all things he shows to he who he himself brings out”.  This importantly becomes a statement by Yahweh that the “love” of the “Father” that makes a soul-flesh be reborn in the name of the “Son” makes “Jesus” lead that soul-flesh to “everything” and “all things” done, as “he shows” the host soul what “he himself” (where a “self” is a “soul”) will “bring forth,” whereby “Jesus” will become the Lord over that soul-flesh, with that soul-flesh becoming the temple in which “all things” holy (Sainthood) will be done.

Following a semi-colon is another kai, which says this connected sentence is important to grasp, relative to this “loving” relationship between a divine “Father” and a Saintly “Son” reborn into flesh, and what will be “brought forth.”  Yahweh then had Jesus say, “bigger of these he will show to himself works” or “deeds, acts, labors, behaviors.”  This says the “love” of the “Father” is reciprocated by the “Son,” who enters ministry in the name of “Jesus” to serve the needs of Yahweh to Save the lost souls in flesh.  The use of erga is then why the fifth book of the Gospels tells of the Acts of the Apostles.  The expanse of true Christianity, where all Apostles-Saints were the “Son” resurrected, in “love” with the “Father,” produced “greater” and “bigger” examples of what one “Jesus” did in ministry alone.  The “greater” is many times over “Jesus” reborn from above in those souls Yahweh Saved.

Following a comma mark, this verse concludes by Yahweh saying, “to the intent yourselves may be awestruck.”  This says the souls (a “self” is a “soul”) are saved with purpose.  It is not to know the limitations of what one cannot do, as one will begins to “act” on command with complete faith, so the results of what one does by following without question will allow one the ability to see how divinely one is “acting” and how “amazing” one’s “works” are.  This is proof of divine possession that raises one from a level of memorized beliefs (like the Pharisees had talents in quoting Scripture) to faith that comes from experiencing the truth of Scripture, understanding that all “deeds” one does fulfills the “intent” of Scripture.

Verse 21 follows a period mark and begins by importantly stating “Exactly like” ( Hōsper), which is a statement that regardless how many souls (the plural number of “yourselves”) “may be awestruck” by the inner Lord of “Jesus” leading one’s “actions,” “all things” and “everything” will be “Exactly like” Jesus did while alive in the material realm as the  “Son” of Yahweh “sent forth” in his own flesh.  No matter how many people (males and females) are “acting” in ministry in the name of Jesus reborn from above, they all will be “Exactly like” and “Even as, Just as” Jesus.  Thus, “certainly this Father he raises again these” that are “what lacks life,” like walking “corpses.”  This not only says that Jesus will die and be “raised up again” from his tomb, where a “corpse” was laid, as it more importantly says a soul-flesh that is “separate” from Yahweh and not in “love” with the “Father,” reproducing His “Son” within, as one’s Lord, they appear to have life (a soul), but as a lost soul that life is temporal.  They are walking “death,” heading towards a reincarnation after “death,” to return and try again to be reborn in the name of the “Son.”

This then leads to the word kai, which importantly says “he is made alive.”  This is then an important statement of Yahweh Saves, where the Spiritual Baptism of divine marriage brings forth the “Son” reborn from above in a lost soul and its flesh.  This creates a union between the saved soul and Jesus the soul of the “Son” made by Yahweh to Save, where the meaning of Salvation is eternal life.  Once a soul is joined with the soul of the “Son,” one’s soul forevermore coexists with the “Son,” as the “Son” reborn from above, whereby all like souls as brothers (not sisters, as the feminine only relates to flesh) and eternally “alive.”

Following a comma mark, Yahweh then stated, “in this manner,” where this is the only way eternal life can be gained.  There is no other way to Salvation, as Yahweh made His “Son” for the purpose of Him Saving souls.  To be in the name of Jesus “in this manner” is how one’s soul is Saved.  Thus, that word is followed by another use of kai, which denotes it is important to then grasp “this Son who he chooses” or “loves, desires, delights in,” which must be understood as an important statement about the “love” that a bridesmaid soul must display for Yahweh, such that He will come in the middle of darkness to those who keep a lamp of light burning for Him.  Yahweh then “chooses” who He will produce within their wombs (their souls) the “Son.”  This says one cannot skip over “love” of Yahweh and pretend to be in “love” with Jesus.  One must be Jesus reborn as a sign of one’s “love” of Yahweh; and His “love chooses” who will become His “Son” reborn from above.

Following a comma mark, verse 21 concludes with a one-word statement (zōopoiei), which says “he makes alive.”  This importantly states that Yahweh produces His “Son” as His act that Saves with eternal “life.”  Yahweh Saves through His “Son,” whereby the soul of “Jesus” eternally “lives” with another soul (as two side-by-side as one).  It is this eternal presence of Jesus that keeps a soul from ever sinning again and returning to the “corpse” state of existence.  Therefore, “Jesus” is “life” eternal to a lost soul that has been Saved.

Verse 22 follows a period mark with the lower-case oude, which begins a new sentence by stating “never” or “not even indeed this Father he condemns” or “damns, judges, decrees, decides or sentences none” or “no one.”  When the word “never” is translated, this projects eternally into the future, such that “he makes alive” will result in there “not even” coming a time when that Saved soul will not remain Saved.  This is such a “certainty” because “this Father” has brought His “Son” to ensure that all who are His “Son” reborn from above will appear as twin souls before Him (at transfer from the flesh as death), where “he judges none” as failures ever again.

Following a comma mark, Yahweh then added, “nevertheless this judgement all manner of” or “the whole, everything he has delivered to this Son”.  This says judgment of Yahweh upon a soul after death of the flesh is “notwithstanding,” because a soul has proven to be committed by “love” and devotion to Yahweh has neem forevermore Saved by divine marriage and Spiritual Baptism.  This means all future flesh passing away will release the joined souls of a Saint and the “Son,” where the “Son” will never be “judged” by one’s past of sins.  Therefore, “he has been delivered” to those Saved souls, where a Saint soul will be passed into the heavenly realm (to be reincarnated with works assigned in a next life, assisted by Jesus), as one “to this Son.”

Verse 22 ends with a comma mark, leading to verse 23 beginning with the lower-case word “in order that” or “to the intent” (hina) “all ones they may revere this Son”.  This says the Saved souls that are in “love” with Yahweh and divinely joined to Him by Spiritual Anointment (made a Christ or Messiah) are made Saints “to the intent” that “everyone” soul reborn as Jesus in their flesh is to “honor” that presence as an extension of the “Father,” in the ”Son.”  That means a soul will accept, through love,” the “Son” as one’s Lord, who commands one to do “acts, works, and deeds” that “honor” the “Father.

Following a comma mark, this is said to be “according to he honor this Father.”  This then is a statement that for a wife-soul (a bridesmaid proved worthy of marriage) to act “according to he,” the Lord Jesus soul resurrected within that same body of flesh, alongside its host soul, where Jesus is welcomed (“loved”) as the Lord, to then follow his commands is an act by “he honoring this Father” of the “Son.”

The ends with a period mark, but verse 23 continues with a new line of thought, beginning with the lower-case word ho, meaning “this.”  The translation of “this” is reference to “honoring the Father” through the “Son.”  As such, “this never” or “not honoring this Son” is a projection on those (like the Pharisees and “Jews”) whose reincarnated lives have “never” been led to “honoring” the “Father,” so those souls can receive the soul of the “Son.”  As those who “not honoring this Son,” verse 23 is projecting the reason Jesus is reborn anew in souls with flesh, to become Saints through “deeds” with Jesus as their Lord.  Those become the persecutors of Saints and Jesus, because they “never” seek to be “honoring this” concept of “Son,” “not” capable of seeing that call of Jesus’ ministry being to them.

Following a comma mark, Yahweh added to “not honoring this Son” by stating “not he honoring this Father.”  This says to reject Jesus (or a Saint in his name, reborn from above) is to reject Yahweh.  Therefore, the message delivered to the “Jews” and Pharisees said to reject Jesus is to reject his divine “Father,” which is greater than the “God” they felt they were, condemning Jesus as if he were playing “God” falsely.

Verse 23 then contains a comma mark, which leads to the concluding segment that says, “this,” which is reference to the “Father” and “not he honoring” as the children of Yahweh should, is “this Father” that is Yahweh, the One “God” “having sent” or “dispatched he himself,” who is all in the name of Jesus, both the lame man healed and Jesus who entered his soul, becoming his Lord.  Jesus did not heal him, as Jesus was the soul Yahweh “having sent” to “he himself” (a “self” is a “soul”) to Save one of deep faith.
