The History Channel trying to figure out the Garden of Eden
I watched parts of History’s Greatest Mysteries on the History Channel tonight. This week they decided they would banter about inuendo concerning the physical evidence that proves where the Garden of Eden was/is.

The Rapture
There seems to be a fresh influx of commercials on television that are focusing on how much God loves you ["you" being a generic plural pronoun usage], and all you [individuals with money in the bank] have to do is say a simple prayer, with apps now available for a daily prayer. Of course, with the recent warfare going on in Israel-Gaza, the commercials begging for $45 so hungry Jews can be fed have increased.

Thank you for your service?
Remembering war deaths is not reason to celebrate. According to the Wikipedia article entitle “ World War II casualties ”: “Deaths directly caused by the war (including military and civilian fatalities) are estimated at 50–56 million, with an additional estimated 19–28 million deaths from war- related disease and famine. Civilian deaths totaled 50–55 million. Military deaths from all causes totaled 21–25 million, including deaths in captivity of about 5 million prisone

Elijah and the priests of Baal, most relevant today
In 1 Kings 18:25-29 we read: “25 Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one of the bulls and prepare it first, since there are so many of you. Call on the name elohekem [of your god], but do not light the fire.” 26 So they took the bull given them and prepared it. Then they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon. “Baal, answer us!” they shouted. But there was no response; no one answered. And they danced around the altar they had made. 27 At noon Elij

Explaining who the two clothed in brightness were
I posted an article that posed the question about the Ascension of Jesus, asking “Who are the two men clothed in white?” I also posted this meme that was on an Internet search of pictures the depicted this part of the story from Acts 1. (I added the red parts) Since Christianity is a religion of ‘paper lions’ – pew riders (at best) – no one has responded to the question; but that was expected. I would expect someone to declare they were angels. That makes sense, because th

The point of celebrating Mother’s Day
To have a day set aside in May – always on a Sunday – to recognize mothers (and also fathers, in June) is Judeo-Christian related. It is a form of remembering how Yahweh told Moses to teach, “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12, NIV)

The truth about demon spirits killing souls
In the news recently was the headline: Lori Vallow Daybell found guilty in murder of her 2 children . I did not read the article; and, I did not recognize the name. On Saturday, May 13, 2023, Dateline updated this news, repeating the history that I had watched before. That reminded me who it was that had been found guilty in murder. What I heard in the television program was an element of this crime that I had not caught before. Perhaps the network had not worded it the s

Where to find the lost ark of the Covenant
Those who kneel down at the altar of Hollywood moguls, milking them for cash that will disappear like a wet dream when death awakens their souls from their bodies of dirt, dust and clay, seem to get a hardon these days coming up with new theories about where the ark of the Covenant will be found.

The religiosity of the Supreme Court’s ruling on abortion [June 2022]
Clearly, Biblical Scripture is in support of “Pro-Life” and against planned acts that abort a fetus in the womb of a pregnant woman, called “Pro-Choice.” 4 ‘“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no

All souls
I know I live in a heathen nation that is just one of many. Probably all nations of the world claim some religious beliefs, but in the words of the great fictitious prophetess, Mymomma, “religious is as religious does.” Religious beliefs are a dime a dozen and sold in the marketplace as keychain danglers, windshield decals, rearview mirror ornaments, and bumper stickers (among many other examples). In one of my frequent OBEs (Out of Body Experiences), I asked God, “What is m

Pentecost Sunday 2020 – Part IV (John 20:19-23)
The two options for Gospel readings both come from John. One is John 20:19-23 and the other is John 7:37-39. The John 20 reading is also read every year in the three-year cycle on the Second Sunday of Easter, but those readings extend to verse 31 (an additional eight verses). The point of reading these five verses again is to see them in a new light, following forty days of preparation with the risen Jesus. The John 7 reading (only three verses) is important, if for no other

Pentecost Sunday 2020 – Part II (Numbers 11 & 1 Corinthians 12)
The optional readings are the following: Numbers 11:24-30 Moses went out and told the people the words of the Lord; and he gathered seventy elders of the people, and placed them all around the tent. Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders; and when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. But they did not do so again. Two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other
